In an era when global challenges demand innovative solutions, Geneva has become the focal point of a groundbreaking event titled “Shaping Futures: Amplifying Minority Voices through Youth, Traditional and Political Leaders for Sustainable Development and Global Governance”.
Our colleagues Luciana Viegas (executive director) and Débora Lopes (financial director) represented VNDI at the pre-conference. The event precedes the long-awaited United Nations Summit of the Future, which aims to highlight the indispensable role of diverse voices in steering the world toward sustainable development and more inclusive global governance.
A catalyst for change
This pre-conference is a crucial platform for promoting dialogue among diverse stakeholders, stressing the urgency of inclusive approaches in global decision-making. By bringing together young leaders, traditional guardians of culture and political figures, the “Shaping Futures” event aims to harness the collective wisdom and innovative perspectives needed to face the world’s most pressing issues.
The goal is to highlight the participation of minority groups in the sustainable development process, and also to present impactful models of global governance that are inclusive, equitable and future-oriented.
